Is it necessary to prepare my lawn before the application?

Yes, it is important to mow and remove clippings, as well as animal waste from your lawn prior to the application. Doing so will ensure your lawn looks its best and the color lasts longer.

What kind of paint/dye do you use?

At Grass Painters Pro, we exclusively use a highly concentrated water-based paint. Our product is renowned for its exceptional durability and will not wash away once dry (within 1-1½ hours). When our painters pro apply it to your grass, it transforms your lawn into a lush, healthy green landscape. Moreover, our paint is water-resistant, wear-resistant, and can last for an extended period (3-6 months), or until your grass begins to grow and requires mowing.

  Does it have any fertilizer in it?
 No, it is just eco-friendly paint!  When used in the fall/winter, our paint will act as a protective barrier for the lawn, warming it throughout the cold months. This protects the roots, and has the grass prepared to green up faster than normal in the spring.

   Will it hurt my kids or pets?
No, there are no chemicals in the paint we use; it is non-toxic and 100% safe for your children, pets, and any other living thing that comes into contact with your lawn, as well as for the lawn itself.

  Does it wash away with rain?
   There is no green run-off with the rain; once it is dry the paint is permanent.

  Will painting my grass save me money with my water bill?
  YES, we have seen customers conserve water and reduce their watering from 20-50%!

  How long will it last?
This paint is highly durable, waterproof, and resistant to fading or washing away from grass surfaces. However, it will gradually become less visible as the grass grows and/or is mowed.  It can last anywhere from 3-6 month depending on growth and mowing.

  Will it kill the grass?
  Our product will not cause any more harm to the grass than the existing damage it has sustained. It will not inhibit the grass from regenerating on its own.

 Will it come off on my shoes?
  NO. After the paint/dye mixture has dried (1-1½ hours), the green colorant will not get on clothing, shoes, skin, or pets.

 Is the over spray harmful to other plants?
  NO. The over spray is not harmful to other plants, humans or pets.

 Can you spray a lawn that is mainly dirt or has large dirt patches?
It is not recommended to spray a lawn with dirt; it is better to use grass for a better visual effect than with dirt. However, if you still wish to do so, you may do so.

 When is the best time to have the grass painted?
For the best results, Grass Painters Pro recommends painting your grass when the growth has stopped, but it does not need to be completely brown or dead. Before our lawn painters start the process, the grass should be freshly mowed and edged, with the clippings removed to prevent a patchy finish. It's important that the grass should not be scalped.
